On behalf of our London based client, a global engine support company, we are currently recruiting the following role. Our client offers global engine support through their dedicated on-wing support teams and hospital shops based in strategic locations including Hong Kong, the Netherlands, the UK, and the United States.
Job Title: Workshop Operations Manager

Scope of Role
As part of the Global Engine Support London Management team responsible for safety, compliance and productivity of the Workshop Production Team and the Stores & Logistics function. Manages the training and development of the team, holds budgetary responsibility for cost control and producing budget forecast for workshop operations and tool and material management. Responsible for compliance to process and procedures of the team to Part 145 and HSE requirements.

Qualification & Experience
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in an aircraft line maintenance of engine maintenance
* Operational leadership or management experience in a similar environment
Main Duties/Responsibilities
Safety/Technical/Quality
- Be aware of and promote the GES Safety targets and near miss reporting.
- Chair the Safety Action Group on a rotating basis.
- Provide technical support and leadership to the Stores & Logistics team to maintain the tools & equipment to the correct standards, including calibration, load test, and servicing.
- Ensure effective tool control procedures are in place and adhered to.
- Management of the GSE equipment used within the workshop including liaising with suppliers to ensure service levels are being met.
- Monitoring resource status to ensure availability and capability is matched to business requirements and escalating accordingly.
- Provide technical support and leadership to the Stores & Logistics team to maintain the tools & equipment to the correct standards, including calibration, load test, and servicing.

General Management
- To be a pro-active member of the senior UK management team.
- Deputise for the General Manager EMEA when required.
- Identifying, forecasting, allocating different type of business resources to the projects at the right time and cost.
- Ensure the business is efficient with all resources and maintaining cost control. This includes manpower availability and fatigue management.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in an aero engine environment or from an aircraft maintenance organisation in an engineering capacity.
