My client manages component repairs for their customers’ aircraft and looks after their warranties, to ensure costs are kept as low as possible.
They are now seeking a Warranty Engineer to work with their customer onsite in Budapest, Hungary for a 3 year contract.
You will be the onsite “go to” contact, liaising between the airline, all stakeholders (suppliers, repair stations, etc.) and the UK office, providing problem resolution, escalation and advice.

** Please note candidates will be working full-time, onsite in Budapest, and must already hold the right to live and work in Hungary prior to application **
Main responsibilities:
- Identify, create and manage warranty claims for component, line maintenance, heavy maintenance and other eligible events.
- Contact suppliers to gather the necessary information to justify a quoted repair and contest where appropriate.
- Provide support to Value Engineering, Damage Claim Investigations, Bird Strike Claims and Damaged During Maintenance Investigations
- To carry out and manage projects and tasks to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide savings associated with Value Engineering, Warranty Management, Consultancy, PBH O&A policing, Sourcing, Guarantee Management and other value stream activities.
- To contact suppliers in order to seek clarification of workscope/pricing/warranty and challenge when a decision is unjustified.
- To enforce contractual terms and recover associated benefits.
- To manage contract turnaround time (TAT) remedies
- To be the go-to department for engineering/technical issues and provide subject matter expertise to other internal departments.
- To assist the Sales & Business Development Team by designing strategic programmes for customer cost reduction
- To apply continuous improvement to develop processes, procedures and systems in order to improve the department’s overall efficiency and ability to meet the needs of the customer.
- Be able to build multi-level relationships within Customer, both internally and externally.
- Support the implementation and management of the delivery of Warranty Management services (in coordination with UK-based staff)
- Proactively apply Continuous Improvement, including the Identification and implementation of initiatives/projects
- Lead/Support periodic program reviews
- To maintain regular verbal & written updates to the UK team
- Carry out business development and identify up-selling opportunities
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Hold a college qualification or university degree in a Business/Engineering discipline or have relevant work experience in an aircraft maintenance or warranty organisation.
- Have appropriate industry experience within a Supply Chain, Aerospace, Value Engineering, Warranty or Technical Services discipline.
- Demonstrate sound interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong time management skills and an ability to prioritise multiple projects.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Bi-lingual in English & Hungarian is highly desirable
- Be able to build multi-level relationships within organisations, both internally and externally.
