I am delighted to be working with a global leader in the aviation field of commercial aircraft engine component sales, trading and leasing. They are now seeking a VP Technical (Aero Engines) to join them in Wisconsin, U.S. (remote situation may be considered for a standout candidate).

Main responsibilities of the VP Technical:

  • Review of Back to Birth records, Borescope Inspections and engine component listing data to assist in daily modelling of potential CFM56/V2500-A5 engine acquisitions for teardown.
  • Reviewing engine performance trend data for CFM56/V2500-A5 engines to be considered with leases attached or serviceable/naked.
  • To stay current with the latest SB’s/AD’s relating to these engine types.
  • Some travel to industry conferences as required.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • An in depth understanding and knowledge specifically of CFM/V2500-A5 engines and the value of their sub-parts throughout their life cycles.
  • The ability to create and update financial models related to teardown acquisition targets.
  • The ability to communicate and interface at a high level both verbally and in writing with others in the industry is essential.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Absolute integrity and professionalism.
  • Mastery of Excel is required.

Additional information:

  • Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience and will be equal to or will exceed industry norms.
  • Benefits to include health & dental insurance, PTO, Matching 401K retirement plan, relocation reimbursement (if applicable) and half day Fridays during the summer months.
