On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Supply Chain officer for an initial 8-month contract. As the Supply Officer you will be joining a team managing procurement operations of aircraft wings.
Role: Supply Chain Officer
Pay: £25.99 per hour via Umbrella
Location: Belfast
Contract: Monday- Friday, 35 Hours per week, 8Months Contract
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS
Responsibilities
- Act as the On-Site liaison agent between supply Management team and the Supplier.
- Validate requirements & ensure PO delivery execution.
- Analyse placement of Purchase Orders within Supplier’s system and administration of related activities
- Ensure supplier’s support to resolve discrepant shipments (receiving snags and invoices,) and drive corrective action plans from supplier
- Analyse late deliveries and prioritise output from supplier to minimise impact on the production line
- Manage short term & long term operational plan (retrofit, shortages…)
- Follow-up Supplier’s supply chain performance and seek for corrective actions when required
- Collaborate with cross functional teams (on-site and remote) and supplier to implement corrective & preventive measures!
- Build strong relationships with supplier and internal teams such as supply management, supply chain quality management (SCQM), Conformance Management (CM), engineering, methods, quality, production and strategic procurement
- Ensure Supplier’s appropriate management on non-quality parts (Repair, Returns…)
- Provide overall visibility of stock levels
- Obtain & follow up action plans from supplier to maintain optimal level and support cycle counts of furnished parts to supplier
- Define recovery plans with the Supply Management team when required
- Visit or work from various sites within Belfast area to execute the tasks above
Essential Skills:
- You have enough experience and drive to stand in front of suppliers to execute the tasks described above
- Some degree of engineering technical background
- You have good priority management skills and multitasking
- You have knowledge and experience with SAP or other MRP
- You have 5-10 years of experience in a similar position
Desirable
- You are bilingual (English written and spoken, French would be an asset)
