Our engineering overhaul workshop client has an opportunity for a Stores Operative to join them on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of the warehouse, ensuring accurate handling, storage, and distribution of aircraft parts and components in compliance with aviation industry standards.

** This is a physical role requiring manual work and up to 15,000 steps per day on an ongoing basis. You’ll be lifting heavy and awkward shaped machinery and parts. Correct lifting equipment is available and training in this equipment will be provided.

Role: Stores Operative
Location: Near Heathrow Airport, West London
Hours: Full time, permanent
Salary: Up to £25,725.36 plus shift allowance (One week early shift, one week late shift)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Efficiently pick, pack, and return parts on time.
  • Issue & dispatch materials.
  • Follow Goods In/Out processes and book spare parts accurately.
  • Support LEAN improvements and meet department KPI targets.
  • To be a part of the” Stores Improvement Project”.
  • Adherence to current practices and Implementation of Total Quality Management as applicable to the department operations i.e. LEAN project Management
  • Collecting or delivering of parts/materials

Requirements:

  • Basic computer literacy and numeracy.
  • Familiarity with computer systems.
  • Overhead crane and forklift experience desirable.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and positive thinker.
  • Able to work independently and as a team player.
  • Strong communicator with leadership skills.
  • Open to suggesting improvements.
  • If required, must be able to pass background checks for working in a known consignor area.
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK. No sponsorships can be provided, now or in the future.
