Our client has an opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The Senior Commercial Manager will provide proactive contract management and manage commercial implications of service performance. They will manage in-life contract changes and advise on strategic commercial implications resulting from legal & regulatory changes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist the sales team to secure profitable and deliverable new business;
  • Assist and provide commercial oversight in deal shaping, negotiations & contracting;
  • Advise on client contract contracting vehicle type and commercial model;
  • Manage competitive dialogue processes;
  • Ensure all customer and supplier bids/contracts are approved and reviewed in line with deal approval governance and policy prior to submission/signature;
  • Identify, manage and report on key commercial / legal risks (legal risks to be communicated to Legal function and ongoing appropriate support / liaison to be maintained);
  • Provide client contract briefings and assure commercial obligations during mobilisation and/or demobilisation/exit;
  • Provide in-life client contract management support;
  • Support the business by owning and performing the ongoing admin of contracts (including the provision of contractual templates / tool kits, and delivering notices);
  • Support & advise on commercial disputes, lead settlement negotiations and define and record settlement terms (except in case of formal dispute/litigation);
  • Act as a direct specialist point of contact to the business on all commercial matters including contract archival, retrieval, storage;
  • Develop the business relationship with the client-side procurement/contracts function;
  • Full engagement and contribution to the Business Unit management team on strategic and tactical forecasting/planning and implementation in accordance with business plans; and close working relationship with other Senior Commercial Managers – sharing responsibility for all Managed Contracts in the Experience Division

What we’re looking for:

  • Experienced senior commercial individual who has a track record in bidding for, negotiating and managing highly complex and/or highly strategic contracts, including experience in IT and Service specific contracts
  • Has extensive commercial and contracts experience and demonstrable track record of owning and delivering pre and post contract and commercial activity
  • Defining and/or advising on the commercial strategy for the bid and/or customer engagement
  • Analysing and managing risk including assessing the revenue opportunity vs. cost and risk
  • Managing the commercial viability of bids and existing accounts
  • Leading complex negotiations encompassing multiple disciplines including supplier negotiations and flow-downs
  • Experience with managing issues that typically relate to contract exits
  • Managing client/supplier relationships and expectations on complex commercial issues
  • Good knowledge of contract law and its application in BPO / IT environments
  • Experienced of offshoring, automation and alternative pricing models
  • Good working knowledge of GDPR
  • Sound financial acumen (P&L, cashflow, balance sheet) and strong understanding of financial modelling, contract pricing and differing pricing models
  • Experienced in defining, driving and overseeing commercial & contract governance
