My client, based in Switzerland, develops and produces the world’s most unique aircraft: from the legendary PC-12, the best-selling single-engine turboprop in its class, to the PC-7 MKX and PC-21 and associated simulators, the market-leading systems for pilot training.

Location: Stans, Switzerland
Responsabilities

• Validate composite materials or manufacturing process technologies through the manufacture of prototype components, including relevant testing to de-risk the technology, to deepen know-how and to assess the suitability of a technology targeting a later certification and implementation in Pilatus products
• Lead and execute composites projects, readily initiated and granted by InnoSuisse (Swiss funded projects)
• Manage composites projects between external suppliers, internal and own resources
• Propose and select future technologies for exploration toward project definition and execution

Requirements

• MSc degree from a recognised university in a relevant engineering or science discipline
• Experience of 5 to 10 years in composite materials and processes, in the aerospace market
• Internationally networked in the composites industry
• Knowledge of Swiss and international academic landscapes and associated public collaborative funding mechanisms is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and German
• Self-propelled personality, eager to advance own projects, propose pragmatic solutions and achieve results
• Multi-functional interest and ability for hands-on activities coupled with project management
