My client is looking for a Part-time Payroll Assistant to join on them on a permanent basis,

The Part-time Payroll Assistant will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for employees, provide administrative support and respond to payroll enquiries.

This is an onsite role based in Hayes, London, with flexibility in working hours.
25-30 hours per week, (ideally 5 hours per day).
A degree of flexibility with working hours is required, to accommodate end of month payroll timelines.

Role: Part-time Payroll Assistant (Permanent Position)
Pay: From £32,170 pro-rata
Location: Hayes, West London

Main responsibilities:
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including overtime, bonuses, and other adjustments.
* Maintain and update payroll and HR databases, ensuring all employee records are accurate and up-to-date.
* Ensure payroll processing adheres to legal standards, tax requirements, and company policies.
* Act as the first point of contact for employee payroll-related queries, providing prompt and accurate information.
* Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end payroll reconciliation.
* Collaborate with external payroll providers to ensure smooth payroll processing and resolve any discrepancies.
* Support the administration of employee benefits, including pensions, sick leave, and other entitlements.
* Pension set up and support for employees.

Ideal candidate profile:
* 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
* Understanding of payroll processes, UK tax laws, and compliance requirements.
* An accounting or finance qualification in accounting and or finance is required.
* Experience in business administration, or human resources can be advantageous
* Payroll-specific certifications (desirable).
* ADP payroll experience (desirable)
* Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage confidential information.
* Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
* Understanding and experience with salary sacrifice schemes or similar.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
* Must maintain discretion and ethical standards at all times.
