NOC VSAT/Hub Engineer

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a NOC VSAT/Hub Engineer to join them on an initial 6-month contract. Our client is one of the world’s leading providers of managed secure communications, managing their customers’ time- and mission-critical communications. They are world leaders in providing global fixed and mobile secure communication services to governments, militaries and security forces.
Please note: Current/transferrable SC Security Clearance must already be in place when applying. Applicants who do not hold current/transferrable SC Clearance will not be accepted. Due to the nature of this project, regrettably this position is open for British Nationals only.

Role: NOC VSAT/Hub Engineer
Pay: £50 per hour via Umbrella
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week
Contract: 6 -month contract
Location: Hawthorne Corsham
IR35 Status: Inside
SC Clearance: Current/Transferrable SC clearance. British Nationals only.

Resonsibilities
Reporting directly to the NOC Team Lead you will be responsible for:

• Day to day operation management and rectification of the IDS Network from the Network Operations Centre and designated IDS Server sites
• Operation and management of NOC IP Network
• Day to day management and operation of NOC services.

Skills/Experience

• Have a good, working knowledge of TCP/IP and some routing.
• Hands on CCNA level Cisco courses.
• Ability to work in a small team of 3 engineers
• Experience of dealing with telephone customers
• Positive, dynamic approach and able to work alone during on call.

Desirable

• Satellite VSAT communications knowledge desirable.
