I am working with a great Business Aviation client in Malta, and they are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join on a permanent basis.

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary: On Application
Contract: Permanent
Location: Malta/Hybrid

Responsibilities:

  • Primary technical lead to clients for mechanical/structural changes.
  • Act as deputy to the Head of the Office of Airworthiness (HOA)
  • As required fulfil the duties of Flight Test Engineer as described in and HB 4( FTOM).
  • Designing and drafting of mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Drafting of accomplishment instructions and test plans.
  • To witness testing and to provide technical support during aircraft modification.
  • Draft compliance documentation required for modification approval.
  • Draft technical substantiation reports in support of modification approval.
  • Ensuring that all mechanical engineering drawings are drafted, checked, approved and filed in accordance with agreed programme schedules.
  • Issuance of drafting tasks according to priority.
  • Development of drafting methods and procedures.
  • Act as a Compliance Verification Engineer (Structures and Mechanical systems) your duties and responsibilities will in accordance with DOA HB1 and HB2 terms of reference and procedures respectively.
  • Any other task as may be required from time to time.
