On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Lead Solution Architect to join on an initial 3-month contract. As the Lead Solution Architect you will work on solutions and governance using OpenEdge platform as well as Dynamics 365. team to work on Project Comet.

Role: Lead Solution Architect
Pay: up to £900 per day Via Umbrella
Location: Remote
Contract: Monday – Friday 37.5 Hours per week, 3 Months contract
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities

  • Specify solutions architecture, identifying the components, services and their interrelationships needed to meet the needs of the business as a whole.
  • Manage the provision of specialist knowledge over a range of IS/ICT topics and the role of IS in the business; provide knowledge and advice in own area of expertise.
  • Co-ordinate the identification and assessment of new emerging technologies, product methods and techniques. Evaluate likely relevance of these for the business and provide regular briefings to IT staff and business management.
  • Have defined authority and responsibility for solutions and application architecture, including technical, financial and quality aspects. Establish organizational objectives and delegate assignments. Accountable for actions and decisions taken by self and delegated roles.
  • Influence policy formation to support business objectives. Influence customers, suppliers and industry at senior management level. Develop high-level relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Work with the solution and application architecture teams to develop and evolve company Technology and Software Solutions enterprise architecture.
  • Define and document new IT architectures or amend existing architectures in line with business requirements.
  • Integrate security principals into the architecture in line with divisional requirements and policies.
  • Design robust and secure integrations between applications, in line with business requirements.
  • Work with external suppliers as needed to contribute to the improvement of new/enhanced solutions.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to projects, programmes and services to enable business benefits to be secured through well managed and disciplined technical improvements.
  • Participate in projects and working parties and to carry out any other duties that may be outside the standard remit for the purpose of personal development, or as may be responsibly required by the Company.

  • OpenEdge Platform (Progress Software, must-have)
  • Dynamics 365 CRM/CE (desirable)
  • Power Platform (desirable)
  • REST APIs
  • Cloud Platforms (Azure)
  • TOGAF (desirable)
