On behalf of our client near Esher in Surrey, Line Up Aviation are seeking applicants for a permanent Inspector (Incoming Aviation Parts) opportunity. Start ASAP!
** Previous quality inspection experience in the aviation industry, or a similar parts/engineering type industry, is ESSENTIAL. **
The successful Inspector (Incoming Aviation Parts) will verify and ensure that products received from suppliers are compliant with the specifications and requests listed on the company’s purchase order.
Main responsibilities:
* Perform the incoming inspection according to the control plan proposed by SAP.
* Check and update the batch classification of the inspected material on SAP.
* Use measuring tools accurately.
* Inspection of parts – nuts and bolts, etc.
* Ensure that lots in the segregation area are traceable.
* Inform the Supplier Quality Management team in case of noncompliance of the material inspected.
Ideal candidate profile:
* Able to read technical drawings
* Knowledge of materials and surface finishing processes
* Able to use manual tools for dimensional inspection (micrometers, verniers, calipers)
* Experience using SAP – desirable
* Keen eye for detail
* Competent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
* GCSE’s (or equivalent) including Maths & English
* Fluent written and spoken English
* Rights to live work in the UK on an ongoing basis. No sponsorships can be provided, now or in the future.
Additional Information:
* Salary up to £29,000 DOE
* Monday to Friday day shift. 37.5 hours per week
