My client is looking for a Helicopter Instructor Pilot to conduct in-aircraft initial conversion and/or recurrent flight training onsite and at customer location. To complete course paperwork as required by the client and to assist in the development of course training material

ROLE: HELICOPTER FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR
LOCATION: PHILADELPHIA, USA
CONTRACT: PERMANENT

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To deliver standardized pilot training in accordance with (IAW) pilot training syllabi
  • Evaluation of student throughout the training process. Alerting US Chief Flight Instructor Pilot of any training issue.
  • Preflight instruction and briefings
  • Preflight training requirements in OTD (other training devices)
  • In-flight training
  • Post-flight debriefing
  • Course paperwork
    • Prepare coursework as directed by US Chief Flight Instructor Pilot
    • Demonstrations and Ferry flights as required by the client
    • Maintain flight hours, pilot and medical certification requirements IAW

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION:

  • 2,500 total hours Helicopter
  • 1,000 hours twin turbine helicopter – preferred
  • 300 hours instrument – actual/simulated

COMPETENCIES & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Instructor background in helicopters
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Strong IFR experience and knowledge
  • Experience in the development of aviation training material
  • A119 trained, 150 hours as PIC on type preferred
  • IT skills: Microsoft Office

Licensure/Certification:

  • FAA Rotorcraft Commercial Certificate, ATP Preferred
  • FAA CFI/CFII
  • EASA Preferred
  • Valid FAA Medical, minimum Second-class, First preferred
