We have an opportunity for a Goods In Quality Inspector to join our client based at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire and as such you will be required to be able to obtain a minimum of UK SC clearance.
You will be responsible for ensuring quality gates are followed before items enters storage. You will report directly to the Logistics Manager and work closely with the logistics team, Safety and Compliance and the MRO Team.
Contract: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week
Job Profile
- Receipt and evaluation inspections of complex components and assemblies using pre-set inspection plans
- Ensure compliance with all associated quality procedures, airworthiness control plans, and quality management system requirements
- Using aerospace knowledge and expertise to inspect finished products, thereby ensuring conformance with MAA/FAA/EASA Part 145 specifications and established quality standards, including customer requirements
- Maintain material batch and manufacturer traceability information
- Issue Discrepancy Reports and assisting in the resolution of customer complaints and Supplier quality problems
- Document and record non-conformance process issues concerning business operations
- Represent the Quality Management Department during internal meetings, working committees and modification programs
Skills & Experience
- 5-7 years of knowledge of aircraft operations, materials and practices
- 5-7 years’ experience under MAA Part 145 or EASA Part 145. Part21 experience could be also considered
- Knowledge of AS9100 and First Article Inspection
- An associate degree, two years of university or technical school within aerospace engineering, system engineering, electromechanical or similar.
- Logistic or Inventory management experience
- Experience of a customer facing role in either a military or civilian aviation environment
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of a QMS system for logistics operations and regulatory requirements for control of inventory
