I am seeking an experienced Electroplater to join my renowned production engineering client based just north of Heathrow Airport, West London.
The Electroplater will play a crucial role in the surface treatment of aircraft landing gear components, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards for safety and durability.
Role: Electroplater
Location: Hayes, Middlesex
Shift: 4 on 4 off shift
Salary: Up To £34,078.69
Main responsibilities:
- Proven ability to understand and interpret process standard practices, drawings and Company Job cards.
- Previous experience to undertake Material Handling to include workshop Gantry cranes and slings.
- Previous experience in preparation of parts for electroplating (Masking techniques etc.)
- Previous experience to undertake surface preparation by Grit Blasting techniques would be an advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge and experience in a range of the following electroplating processes
- Cadmium Plate and Dalic Cadmium plate
- Nickel plating
- Hard Chrome plating
- Alocrom
- Nital etch (Acid Etch inspection)
- Heat Treatment of components
- Responsible to complete work in line with technical instructions and to the correct quality standards.
- Ability to complete work in a manner that satisfies Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
- A good understanding of environmental issues associated with Electroplating Industry.
- Previous Knowledge of information related to the COMAH would be an advantage although training will be given to the successful candidate.
- You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record of jobs completed (PER) book.
- You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience
- All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures
Essential Experience
- To have worked within a Plating shop environment
- Have a basic understanding of Processes and procedures associated with Electroplating.
- Experience of working in a EASA 145 environment
- A strong team player
- Able to communicate with all levels of Management.
- Willingness to learn new skills to help the Company achieve its targets.
- Must have a moderate level of PC literacy
