Electrical Design Engineer

Our client has an opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer for Laboratory Test Means to join them on a 12-month contract basis. You will join the Test Centre and will contribute to the development of architectures and specifications for data acquisition and control systems for a new test facility and several new test benches focused on Hydrogen testing.

Role: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Filton
Clearance: BPSS + Clearance
Hourly Rate: Up to £45.00 per hour Umbrella

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop Architecture and design solutions for data acquisition and control systems.
• Develop Electrical Component electrical schematics
• Specify Instrumentation for a range of different measurements (Pressure, Flow, Voltage, Current, etc…)
• Produce requirement and specification documentation for data acquisition and control systems.

Requirements:

• Electrical Design Tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad)
• Understanding of Electrical design principles and Electrical systems
• Understanding of Testing principles
• Experience with electrical architecture design
• Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems.
• Knowledge of avionic data busses (A429, CAN, AFDX)
• Knowledge of avionic hardware interfaces (discretes, analogues)
• Team spirit and agility
