URGENT requirement for a part-time COMPLIANCE MONITORING AND SAFETY MANAGER.
This is a nominated Postholder role for both an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) and a Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTD) operator. They will report to the Accountable Manager.

Role: Compliance Monitoring & Safety Manager
Basis: Initial contract for 12 months
Location: West Sussex
Hours: 8 days per month / 16 hours per week
Pay rate: £40 per hour (Outside IR35)

The role will require flexible working. Presence in office is preferable, however there is flexibility with hybrid working. Attendance on site to support any visit from the relevant regulatory authority is essential.

Main CMSM Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the compliance of the organisation with all applicable regulatory requirements under EASA Part ORA or equivalent UK-CAA regulations
  • Monitor the compliance of the organisation with the provisions of the Operations, Training and Safety Management Manuals
  • Ensure that the compliance monitoring programme is properly implemented, maintained and continually reviewed and improved
  • Ensure that the Quality System meets UK CAA/ EASA Part ORA Compliance Management System requirements.
  • Manage and prepare Simulator dossiers for presentation to the UK CAA/EASA in order to meet the requirements of EASA Part ORA Initial Evaluations or Re-evaluations.
  • Manage and organise the Simulator Initial Evaluations or Re-evaluations with the UK CAA and EASA and ensuring smooth running on the day for each Simulator assessment.
  • Prepare and manage EASA part ORA Compliance Management System Audits with the CAA on a biannual basis at the company Training Centre.
  • Ensure that audits are conducted by suitable personnel
  • Facilitate hazard identification, risk analysis and management
  • Monitor the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risk
  • Ensure the maintenance of safety management system and documentation
  • Ensure that safety management training is available and that it meets acceptable standards
  • Act as the focal point for safety issues
  • Conduct an Annual review of Quality procedures
  • Support customer audits both remotely and on site as required

  • There may be the opportunity to convert to a permanent position in the future is desired.
