Position Summary
The Inspection System Supervisor ensures the effective performance and regulatory compliance of the inspection system and all associated procedures outlined in the Repair Station Manual. This role is pivotal in maintaining adherence to FAA regulations and promoting safety-sensitive practices within the repair station.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and ensure adherence to Inspection System procedures as outlined in the Quality Manual.
  2. Verify that all serviced and released articles comply with repair station procedures.
  3. Maintain compliance with the repair station’s calibration program.
  4. Monitor adherence to the shelf-life program.
  5. Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable about FAA regulations.
  6. Ensure the training and proficiency of all inspection personnel.
  7. Serve as a liaison during FAA audits and assist in regulatory evaluations.
  8. Ensure the upkeep and accuracy of approved technical data.
  9. Manage and maintain the capabilities list.
  10. Conduct internal and external audits to uphold compliance and quality standards.
  11. Work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  12. Draft legal and regulatory documentation with clarity and precision.
  13. Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders.
  14. Understand and apply FAA regulations to all relevant operations.
  15. Approve releases to service for all aircraft components maintained by AeroRepair.
  16. Perform final inspections on all serviced components.
  17. Supervise maintenance activities performed by non-certified personnel.
  18. Execute additional duties as assigned.

Equipment Knowledge

Proficiency with the following tools and equipment is required:

  • Micrometers
  • Vernier calipers
  • Depth gauges
  • Spring testers
  • Comparators
  • Eddy current equipment
  • Magnetic particle equipment
  • Dye penetrant equipment
  • All equipment used by Technician 1, Technician 2, and Inspectors across all tiers

  • Strong command of English, including reading, writing, and comprehension
  • Ability to safely handle liquid nitrogen
  • Skill in completing tasks promptly with precision
  • Proficiency in reading and recording accurate measurements
  • Commitment to acting in a safe, professional manner at all times
  • Consistent adherence to manufacturers’ Component Maintenance Manual and Repair Station Manual procedures
  • Effective communication with supervisors and coworkers, especially during shift turnovers
  • Authorization to sign an FAA Form 8130 release-to-service document
  • Exceptional attention to detail

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience as a lead inspector within a repair station.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Certification under 14 CFR Part 65 with an Airframe or Repairman rating
  • FAA A&P License required
