CCTV Security Engineer

I am seeking a CCTV Security Engineer to join my client on a permanent basis. As the CCTV Security Engineer, you will be involved in the installation and commissioning of a range of CCTV systems. As the CCTV Security Engineer must be fully conversant in not only the physical installation of the CCTV systems but also could understand the client’s requirements and be able to transition them into a commissioning plan and then undertake and document that commissioning process

Role: CCTV Security Engineer
Location: London & Hampshire
Hours: Monday to Friday,40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £38,000

Responsibilities

• To carry out the installation, testing and maintenance of CCTV & Security Systems
• Take responsibility for installation under the guidance of the site supervisor.
• Installation of a mix of systems to a high standard and to manufactures standards.
• Providing “Smart Hands” when working under the instruction of a Senior Engineer
• Working to an extremely tight programme as part of a large team
• To maintain production levels, workmanship and high standards of house keeping
• To ensure SH&E processes and procedures are always implemented.
• Maintain all plant and specialist tools as supplied by Electranet are in good condition that allows all works to be carried out in a safe manner.
• Comply with all Client procedures and processes when working on site.
• Carry out all reasonable requests from Management.
• Experienced in commissioning CCTV systems and hold or willing to work towards CITMA accreditation (Milestone)
• Ability to carry out upgrades on server based platforms, NVRs and Windows operating systems
• Familiar with IP topography and IP protocols

Requirements

• Ability to obtain MOD SC clearance and willing to undergo DV clearance if required and/or MOJ clearance and willing to undertake other clearances.
• Excellent IT skills to include the MS suite of products with a strong focus on Excel.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to read diagrams and schematics
• Minimum of three years’ experience of working within a similar role
• Ability to install, terminate test and maintain all types of security systems, including CCTV, CEM and Paxton products (Formal training with a Manufacturer preferred)
• Milestone Technician level one holder
• Pc Literate to update , install and network changes
