We are currently inviting applications for a new exciting opportunity based in the People’s Republic of China (PRC). Our client, a globally recognized engine MRO specialist, is seeking a Business Development Manager with a focus on aviation engines. Our client is renowned for its comprehensive overhaul, testing, and component repair services for the GE90 series engine. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Manage commercial negotiations for all new engine capabilities to deliver positive business cases
- Lead new product initiatives projects
- Ownership for client’s entity corporate communications
- Support in managing the company’s strategic OEM partnerships through participation in regular engagement, leadership and executive meetings
Key Duties
- Manage existing OEM relationships and identify/establish new strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance the company’s market position and expand its service offerings.
- Manage commercial negotiations for new engine capabilities ensuring favourable terms that align with the company’s strategic objectives. Review contractual agreements (in line with business case).
- Develop pricing policies for company to support commercial deals/proposals
- Lead project team meetings, drive completion of actions, manage timeline and engage key stakeholders for new product initiative projects
- Define and execute corporate communication strategy including overseeing all internal/external communications, ensuring consistent, clear and coherent messaging that aligns with the company’s goals and values (corporate presentation, group intranet articles, press releases, social media posts etc.), set corporate gifts annual budget/plan, develop entity level marketing initiatives (flyers, videos etc.)
- Prepare content and participate in leadership/executive review meetings with key OEM partners representing the business development division where appropriate
- Provide guidance and lead Level 1 and 2 colleagues in areas such as corporate communications, product management, through regular one-to-one sessions to support their long-term development. Support Manager, Business Development conduct their performance reviews by giving input on these applicable areas
- Ensure all actions and decisions align with the company’s Vision, Mission, and Values, reinforcing a commitment to ethical practices and the company’s long-term goals.
- Uphold and promote workplace safety standards across all activities
Required Experience, Competencies & Qualifications
Functional and other Relevant Experience
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in business development/commercial or finance disciplines within the aviation MRO industry or demonstrates a strong commercial mindset
- Strong business acumen with understanding of Engine MRO business model
- Solid experience in commercial contracts and legal/risk review
- Understanding and/or experience in project management is preferable
- Understanding and/or experience in engine leasing, PbH product is an advantage
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge
- Native or high professional proficiency in English

- Bachelor’s degree or above is preferable
