Aviation Technical Expert – C-130

On behalf of our client, a leading Saudi based aviation MRO specialising in defence aircraft, we are seeking to recruit an Aviation Technical Expert – C-130. The successful candidate is required have experience in military aviation, specifically in avionics systems and upgrades, to assist in the evaluation and development of technical requirements and the creation of a comprehensive technical proposal for the avionics upgrade of C-130 aircraft.

Key responsibilities:

Requirement Evaluation:

• Analyse and evaluate technical requirements provided by stakeholders for the C-130 avionics upgrade.
• Collaborate with avionics engineers and project managers to ensure all technical specifications are clearly defined and feasible.

Technical Proposal Development:

• Create a detailed technical proposal that outlines the scope, objectives, and deliverables of the avionics upgrade project.
• Develop comprehensive descriptions of proposed systems, methodologies, timelines, and resources required for the upgrade.
• Ensure the proposal is aligned with customer requirements, applicable regulations, and industry best practices.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Ensure all documentation complies with applicable aviation regulations.

• Develop and maintain detailed database of reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a technical Expert in the aerospace, defence, or aviation industry, ideally with experience in military aviation projects.
• Strong knowledge of avionics systems, ideally including experience with C-130 or similar aircraft.
• Familiarity with military and FAA regulations governing avionics upgrades.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to produce clear and persuasive technical documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Desirable

• Background in systems engineering or a strong understanding of how systems engineering processes apply to avionics upgrades. This will allow the Expert to better interpret technical specifications and systems interactions.
• Certifications or training in technical writing or aerospace engineering.
