Our client has a unique opportunity for an Airside Operations Technical and Regulations Manager to join them on a permanent basis. You will act as the Senior Technical Expert within Airside Operations, providing guidance and support, setting standards and influencing the aerodrome regulatory at both a national and international level.
You will also be accountable for the production of Airside Operations Policy and Standards, and the management and publication of specific technical specification documents.
Role: Airside Operations Technical & Regulations Manager
Location: South of England
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week with potential of travel
Responsibilities:
- Providing technical leadership on aerodrome licensing matters, ensuring that policy, standards, procedures, and training meet regulatory requirements.
- Influencing UK, European and World regulators, as well as industry, representing HAL interests in relation to future regulation.
- Accountable for publication of the Airside Performance Standards, such as the Airfield Planning Asset Standard.
- Supports the compliance monitoring processes through audits to verify the adequacy of implementation of the HAL Airside standards.
- Accountable for the operational and safety oversight of aviation fuel management
- Accountable for the implementation and ongoing management of the Airside Operations Quality Management System and the Aerodrome / Airside Operations Risk Register.
- Responsible for the development of Aerodrome Process & Procedures.
- Maintains ‘Certification Basis’ and ‘Operations Basis’ documentation.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of aerodrome and airline regulatory frameworks, in particular aerodrome licensing, safeguarding activities, ground handling and contingency planning.
- Demonstrable leadership and influencing skills to ensure stakeholders deliver outcomes that meet airside regulatory and operational requirements.
- Experience of working within a complex multi-functional environment.
- Proven experience of working in Airside Operations in a managerial role.
- Experience and practical application of Safety Management.
- Working knowledge of the EU Ground handling directive.
- Experience of working with and influencing national and international regulators and industry working groups.
- A valid UK driving license and able to obtain an Airside Driving Permit and for all areas licence.
Desirable:
- Knowledge and understanding of flight operations.
- Understanding of Aviation Security, ideally to Aviation Security Level 3.
