On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit someone for the role of Airport & Ground Services Procurement on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the definition and implementation of the sourcing strategies for airports and ground services (passengers & cargo) in Hong Kong and the outports and for managing the supplier relationship management process.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the airport and ground services commercial engagement strategy for Outports ensuring a refreshed strategy is defined annually.
  • Conduct global/regional/local market analysis and identify trends that may have positive or negative impacts on the company, develop new strategies to effectively leverage or mitigate these.
  • Develop and manage senior relationships with key airports, regulatory authorities, IATA (airport charges and ground handling) and ground handlers.
  • Effectively manage key stakeholders at a senior level in ASD, CSD, PLN and outports to drive further efficiencies across the business.
  • Manage end to end sourcing strategy and RFQs for outport ground services (passenger/cargo)
  • Engage airport authorities and regional governments in the lead up and prior to launch of new routes to capitalize on commercial benefits at RCR level
  • Manage the commercial relationship in conjunction with FOP of Cathay’s outsourced hotel sourcing provider, ensuring that contractual obligations and key terms and met and honoured
  • Respond to and attend (as required) global airport consultation meetings on airport development/charges
  • Drive high performance culture and standards among APD community.

Education and Experience

  • 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • University graduate in related discipline.
  • Procurement and Category Management experience is essential.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and contract law.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to inspire, and build trust and respect among the APD community.
  • Excellent people skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders.
