Our client has an opportunity for a Aircraft Mechanical Fitter to join them on a contract basis until September 2025. You will be responsible for assisting in the movement, Line and Base Maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 fleet.
Role: Aircraft Mechanical Fitter
Location: Shawbury, Shropshire
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday
Clearance: BPSS required to start. SC to follow
Hourly Rate: £23.94 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
- Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
- Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
- Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM.
- Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required.
- Also required to assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including
- aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL
- Apprenticeship within Aircraft Maintenance
- Experienced of Base Maintenance
- Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance
- Must have thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
- Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems.
Must have up to date knowledge of:
- Flight/Airport Operations
- Aircraft Line Maintenance
- Aircraft Base Maintenance.
DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS.
- Knowledge of CAA Part 145 and Part M regulations.
