Aircraft Emergency Inflatables Fitter – Stansted Airport

About:

The client has been an industry leader within aircraft MRO for over 60 years, proving tests, repairs and overhauls of airframe and engine components. These range from landing gears to safety equipment’s and thermal management systems. They are always evolving to support their customer base of aircraft operators, to military aircraft providers. Their capabilities to work on varied components from different aircraft types, from Boeing to Airbus, gives them an excellent reputation across industry.

Role Brief:

Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks to a range of aircraft safety related products such as escape slides, life rafts and associated parts. Working to written instructions within a team environment.

Job Requirements:

  • The ability to keep up with a physically demanding job
  • A good level of literacy to be able to follow technical instructions
  • A can-do attitude who is self-motivated
  • Fault finding/ Inspection skills
  • Effectively managing diary and work load to keep to tight deadlines
  • Happy to work alone and also in a team
  • Strong communicator

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working in a workshop (highly desirable)
  • 2+ years of inflatable repairs within aviation or other industries.
  • Inflatable test, repair and overhaul experience.
  • Experience working with safety inflatables from life rafts to body inflatables.
  • Previous experience working with hand tools
  • The ability to keep up with a physically demanding job
  • A good level of literacy to be able to follow technical instructions
