My client is looking for an Aerospace Assembly Technician to join on them on a Permanent Position. As an Aerospace Assembly Technician , you will be responsible for the final assembly of Civil Aircraft Landing Gear.
Role: Aerospace Assembly Technician
Pay: From £28,898 per annum + shift Allowance
Location: West London
Permanent Position
Hours: 40 hours per week (Double Day shift)
Right to work in the UK without any restrictions

Job Profile
- The assembly of mechanical components and Installation of Hydraulic and Electrical systems to aircraft undercarriages and associated hardware
- Assembly being conducted in line with all OEM, legislative, and Industry requirements providing right first time, quality primary structural aircraft products
- Management of consumable items
- Ensuring the correct functioning of the quality infrastructure
- Inspection/duplicate inspection of completed assemblies/sub-assemblies.
- Liaison with associated departments.
- Precise work scheduling.
- All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures
- An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company’s environmental procedures.
- AOG/On Wing support if required.
- All duties being performed both on an individual basis and as part of a small team meeting tight deadlines utilizing a safe methodical working practice.
- You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book
- You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience.
Skills/Experience Required
- Extensive amount of experience working in an Airline/ Aerospace related environment
- Able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the legislative and quality system requirements
- Good understanding of excel and word
- Knowledge of company health and safety practices.
- Evidence of people management skills
- Good communicator – ability to communicate with staff on business and other issues.
- Assist in resolving issues that may affect delivery of gears and struts on time
- The position requires from time to time flexibility in working hours including working overtime at weekends.
- The nature of the job requires the applicant to come into contact with various greases and oils
- The position involves the training and use of overhead cranes.
- The job requires the applicant to understand manual handling
- The job requires the use of hand tools and power tools.
- The ability to keep your working area clean and tidy and to a high standard
- The job requires the applicant to stand for a prolonged amount of time with a number of breaks throughout the day.
- The position and process involves lifting heavy aircraft components.
- The position requires the applicant to assembly large components requiring good physical strength
- Ability to lead and organize people.

Education & Training
- Ideally applicants will have served an Aircraft related apprenticeship or equivalent with experience in a similar service industry.
- Emphasis placed upon those applicants that have served within an EASA/FAA approved organization.
