My client is looking for a Routing Software Developer to join on them on a 12 month contract. As a Routing Software Developer, you will be responsible for implementing and debugging highly complex control algorithms. The application involves routing of large numbers of signal paths through a multi-stage satellite switch network and requires detailed modelling of the underlying hardware
Role: Routing Software Developer
Pay: £50.00 per hour via Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Location: Stevenage Hybrid working 3 days on site but flexibility to attend meetings
Contract: 12 Months – 37 hours per week Monday – Friday
Security Clearance: Basic
Job Profile
Competent software developer with experience in implementing and debugging highly complex control algorithms.
The application involves routing of large numbers of signal paths through a multi-stage satellite switch network and requires detailed modelling of the underlying hardware.
The software to be developed is a major extension of an existing implementation written in Python and Java.
The role includes validation of the routing algorithm both in a software testbench and on a representative hardware testbed.
Skills/Experience Required
Expertise in the following is essential –
Python – expert level
Java – proficient
Experience in any or all of the following topics will be valuable –
Digital electronics
Embedded systems
Hardware / software integration
Education & Training
Essential – Strong experience in a similar role
