Job Title	Director of Flight Operations

Client Profile	A growing West African airline setting high standards of operation flying domestic and international routes.
Duties	Scope The Director of Flight Operations will carry the responsibility for Flight Operations, Operations Control, Flight Safety and In-flight Safety. The Role 1. Ensure compliance with the Nigerian CAR’s ICAO and JAR Ops 1 Regulations, applicable to these functions in the regions that the client operate. 2. Control and administration of pilots, operating standards and procedures for operating crew. 3. Working with the Operations Control team coordinating and directing the client's operations i.e transport activity on the day, acting as a communication centre and providing operational services for other groups 4. Working with the Flight Safety section monitoring and reporting on all aspects of flight safety, maintaining accident/incident records including the reports of investigations and any follow up action taken resulting from such investigations 5. Working with Human Resources, the GM Flight Operations will be responsible for managing the selection and recruitment of flight crew and supervision of flight crew training. Competencies 1. Qualifications	1. Operated as a Chief Pilot 2. Previous experience as a Post Holder within the last 2 years 3. 5 years minimum experience on flight deck with a Commercial Scheduled Airline 4. Valid Pilots license 5.
